Services and what is included

What cleaning services do you offer?

Three residential services: house cleaning (standard, one-time or recurring), deep cleaning, and move-in and move-out cleaning.

What does a standard house cleaning include?

A standard clean covers the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms and entryway: wiping counters and surfaces, cleaning sinks, toilets, tubs and showers, dusting reachable surfaces, and vacuuming and mopping floors. Inside the oven, inside the fridge and interior windows are add-ons. See the room-by-room list.

What is not included in a standard house cleaning?

A standard clean does not include the detail work of a deep clean: baseboards and door frames, window sills and tracks, tile and grout scrubbing, vents and light fixtures, and the spots behind furniture that can be moved. Inside the oven ($35), inside the fridge ($30) and interior windows ($12 each) are add-ons. See the side-by-side table.

Do you clean apartments and condos?

Yes. We clean apartments, condos and houses in Cambridge and Brookline. The price is set by the number of bedrooms, and homes above 2,500 sq ft are quoted individually.

What is the difference between a deep clean and a standard clean?

A standard clean maintains a home that is already kept up. A deep clean adds detail work such as baseboards, door frames, window sills, grout, cabinet fronts and the spots behind furniture that can be moved. It suits a first clean, a seasonal reset or a home that needs catching up. See the side-by-side table.

Can I book a one-time cleaning?

Yes. Any clean can be booked once. Standard house cleaning can also be recurring: weekly, every two weeks or monthly, with a discount on each.

How often should I schedule a house cleaning?

A common starting point is a professional clean every two weeks. Weekly suits busy homes with children, pets or several people, while monthly suits one or two adults who are out most of the day. Recurring standard cleans get 20% off weekly, 15% off every two weeks and 10% off monthly. Read how often to clean your home for more.

Do you clean inside the oven and fridge?

Yes, as add-ons: inside the oven is $35 and inside the fridge is $30. They are listed separately from the base price.

Do you clean windows?

Interior windows are an add-on at $12 each.

Do you clean before move-in as well as after move-out?

Yes. Move-in and move-out cleaning use the same price table, starting at $195 for a studio. See move-in and move-out cleaning.

What does insured and bonded mean for a house cleaner?

Insurance generally covers accidental damage or injury that happens while work is done in your home. Move-out cleaning

What does a move-out clean include?

A move-out clean covers the whole empty home: kitchen cabinets and drawers, counters and sinks, bathrooms, closets, baseboards, window sills and floors. Inside the oven and inside the fridge are add-ons. See the room-by-room list.

Is end of lease cleaning the same as move-out cleaning?

Yes. End of lease cleaning is another name for a move-out clean: the whole empty home is cleaned before you hand back the keys. It uses the same flat price table as move-in cleaning, starting at $195 for a studio. Read your lease for anything your landlord requires.

When should I book a move-out clean around September 1?

Many Greater Boston leases end on September 1, so move-out dates cluster around it. Send your quote request as soon as you know your date, and we confirm the schedule with you. See the September 1 move-out cleaning guide.

Will a move-out clean get my security deposit back?

Squares & Corners cannot promise a deposit outcome, which is decided between you and your landlord. Massachusetts limits what a landlord can deduct from a security deposit, so read your lease and the state’s tenant guidance. Rules on cleaning clauses and deposits have changed, so check the current statute and your lease. This is general information, not legal advice. If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean it at no charge.
